Features: • The Law School receives a big boost from alumni (Gifts from Wayne and Pat Higan and David Fonvielle and Don Hinkle are the largest from alumni in the school's history) • B.K. Roberts, one of the College's founders, dies at 92 (A major force for 20th century Florida political and legal circles, the former Florida Supreme Court Justice also played a central role in establishing a law school at FSU) • John Morse's Battle at Ole Miss (These days, the College of Law's second dean lives life at a leisurely pace, teaching part-time, working on his golf game and practicing a little law. Before coming to Tallahassee in 1969, his tenure as dean at the Ole Miss law school was anything but leisurely) • Terry Russell will Serve as Bar President in 2001-2002 (The Charter Class graduate will be the second FSU law alumnus in five years to serve in the post) • Library collection recognizes Virgil Hawkins (Virgil Hawkins was recognized with a ceremony in the law school's Rotunda dedicating a collection of law books as the Virgil Hawkins Collection) • Children's Advocacy Center case gets international attention (A juvenile client of the Center serving a term in an adult prison has received major news coverage in Spain and Germany) • An introduction to the legal life for future lawyers (Law professor Tahirih Lee gives a rousing welcome to this year's entering law class) • Annual Report (The 1998-1999 report on giving) Departments: • Recognitions (Class notes, Faculty notes) • College notes
